My Uncle died a couple of weeks ago. Today was the service for his death. I could not attend his funeral because it was in Florida, Where he lived, far awway from New Jersey. I cried my eyes out. He was only in his late 50’s/early 60’s. About a year or so ago he was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma but he stayed strong. I never knew how bad it really was because my dad didnt want me to worry about it.
He was the most awesome, badass guy I knew. He grew up not believing in Jesus but in his adulthood became a dedicated Christian. He’s the founder of HavingHopeWithCancer.com. IN his life he had many accomplishments. He became a deacon, he went to Haiti in 2010 to help build houses there for about 6 months, he has a band called “Zoppi” which he plays the bass guitar for, he used to play on broadway, has an awesome purple Harley that he used to drivre around, and he is the world’s greatest uncle.
He was so caring and loving. Greg met a boy that was sicker than he was and started a fundraiser for him a couple of months before Greg died. I will always miss you<3 Rest in Peace Uncle Gregory. You have inspired me in so many ways.
